A Brief Resume

Mr. Luke Maki, B.S.M.E., M.S. Computing Systems, works in the field of IT, and is a registered Professional Engineer.  He has been involved with data communications technology implementation, and organizational and technical process development and execution, for 30+ years.  He has also served as a Data Specialist in Marketing, and supported computing and operational aspects of a flight simulation facility.  During his career, his demonstrated individual and team leadership is reflected in this partial list of the variety of responsibilities for which he has been tasked:

• Justifying the use of a new data communication technology called Ethernet to transfer, within the simulation cycle-time, aircraft state information between multiple simulators (Master’s Thesis, Air Force Institute of Technology)

• Data communications and systems proposal development

• Developing and leading the process for ensuring production support readiness for new network products and services;

• Developing common design approval processes;

• Designing and managing a test network for technology investigations;

• WAN design and new technology investigations/deployment;

• Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) legislative compliance activities relative to network change management, significantly contributing to corporate certification

• Company-wide Focal for fostering a corporate strategic alliance with IEEE

On a personal note, Luke is married to Faren, his lovely wife of almost 32 years, and has two sons: Trevor and Preston.  Vacation, Business, and IEEE travels over the years have included the following countries, states, territories:
